Baking for Diwali - Autumn 2016
As tolerant and understanding people, we need to learn about other religions and their festivals. This week we have been learning about how Diwali (the festival of light) is celebrated by Hindus. As part of our learning Year 5 discussed the foods which are eaten during the festival by Hindus all over the world. We had a go at measuring, rolling, sharing, slicing and peeling our ingredients to make our own potato curry and chapatti. We tasted it too... delicious!
